Although Halo Wars 2 which was released this February did well Xbox hasn’t had any significant releases this year. Microsoft Studio’s has had a very limited launch and releases this year. There are, however, small downloadable indie games which Microsoft is distributing such as 3D platformer Super Lucky’s Tale and animation platformer Cuphead on September 29.
Other than this there is nothing quite big queued for Microsoft for 2017.

With the release of Crackdown 3 moved ahead there is just one important launch left for Microsoft – Forza Motorsport 7 which will be launched on PC and Xbox One this October 3. The extra time will be consumed in the development of these three modes. But Microsoft had to ensure that they delivered “right game, with the right quality and at the right time.” There had to be a right balance among all the three modes of the game – Wrecking Zone, campaign, and competitive multiplayer mode.
The publishing General Manager for Microsoft, Shannon Loftis said that just like their fans the company too was enthusiastic about Crackdown 3 and calling off the date of release was not easy for them either. Microsoft Delays the Release of Crackdown 3 The game was due to be launched this year on Windows and Xbox One together with Microsoft’s Xbox One X console. The warrior game which was due for release this November 7 has been put off until the spring of 2018. Microsoft wishes their customers to experience superior quality gameplay while they play Crackdown 3 for which they have delayed the release of Crackdown 3.
